| OmniVision Image Sensor Powers Avantis FDA-Cleared 'Third Eye(TM ...
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- OmniVision Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: OVTI) , a leading independent supplier of CMOS CameraChip(TM) solutions for high-volume imaging applications, today announced that the smallest of its family of CMOS imaging devices, the 1/18-inch OV6920 sensor, is a key component of Avantis Medical Systems' Third Eye(TM) Retroscope(TM) auxiliary endoscopy system. The new disposable miniature video endoscope, which has already been cleared by the FDA for commercial distribution in the United States, is smaller in diameter than a ballpoint pen refill. Its distal tip diameter of just 3.5 mm allows it to fit through the instrument channels of standard-size endoscopes, called colonoscopes, used in colonoscopy. "Before the development of the Third Eye Retroscope, endoscopes this small could typically be made only through the use of fiber optic bundles that relay the image to a larger sensor positioned outside the body," said Fred R.
What Hope for real Change in America?
It is intended as a safeguard against the rise of class-based parties or those that serve specific political interests, by forcing politicians to appeal to the widest possible audience and build broad alliances from the start if they hope to become a serious candidate. This has helped to make American politics the preserve of a relatively narrow middle-class electorate; most working-class Americans did not bother to vote in a system that seemed far removed from their concerns, even before the general fall-off in voting rates across the Western world. Yet even by the past standards of US presidential elections, this is a non-political contest, reflecting the exhaustion of both the traditional Republican and Democratic blocs. Obama, whose candidacy has so energised the race, embodies the current state of affairs.
Secret files against terror suspects revealed
As for Trudeau, perhaps you missed his performance during the October Crisis of 1970 or the fact that he alone amoung Canadan PM's in my lifetime stood up to the bullying of the Quebec separatists. Its ironic that you claim to defend Western values, but can't get beyond personal insults. Let me tell you...I'm well aware of the warts on my country. Given your sanctimonious tone early on, I just thought it prudent to remind you what the rest of the world sees. Your country claims to be the leader of the free world; all the rest of the world wants is for you to walk the talk. Perhaps the election this fall will move you in that direction. Jennifer Lopez Works Hard, But Not For the Money
I have every one of her albums & I like most of her movies. I do own one of her perfumes, but the others are not so yummy to me. That being said, I think it's laughable when any rich celeb says they are not doing "it" for the money, but just to be creative. In Jenny's defense, she did say "I've been lucky that because of what I do as a performer, I've also been able to do stuff like fragrances that I love." Maybe what she should have said was "I've got more money than God, so I can afford to try the fragrance thing, as a different creative outlet, & if it fails, I'm still super rich so no harm done! If it succeeds, then I'll make even more money & yippee--I got to be creative!" I think that's more likely what all the celebs mean when they say stuff like that. I think it would be refreshing if/when one of them actually does make that kind of blunt statement.

Perdue attorney Robert Highsmith said Perdue PAC has filed all the required paperwork, including an 8872 IRS form, which we're happy to bring to your attention. Click here to see it. In the federal form, you'll note that Perdue's biggest expenditure was $35,500 in mid-October for a poll conducted by Public Opinion Strategies. For what, we're not sure. It was a non-election year. Perhaps to see what Americans were looking for in a vice president? Certainly not to see how Georgians felt about the GREAT plan. Immortalized Behind The Wheel
JANUARY 2--Turns out the Oregon drunk driver busted with an astounding .55 blood alcohol content has previously spent time in the spotlight. And by spotlight we mean a Brooks & Dunn video in which she gyrates while wearing cutoff shorts and snakeskin boots. Meagan Harper, 30, was discovered last month passed out in a car parked outside a pizza place and charged with drunk driving. Harper, who has several prior DUI busts, is being held in the Clackamas County jail on $50,000 bail. Years before she became famous for her alcohol intake, Harper starred in the video for "Rock My World (Little County Girl)," a single from the 1993 Brooks & Dunn album "Hard Workin' Man." In the 3:44 video, which was shot near Portland and can be viewed below, a teenage Harper is first seen behind the wheel of a T-top Camaro.
