2008 will see the iPhone getting offcially launched in India. However, we do wish to see the next version of the device, the iPhone 2, appearing on the horizon with features like 3G, Wi-Fi, no camera zoom that the ancestor missed.
Google's Android phone
While 2007 saw Google getting into the mobile phone space with the launch of its operating system Android. Taiwanese player HTC is working with Google on the hardware and we do hope to see handsets running on Android in 2008. While speculations hint at August as the time when the first handset on Android will be launched, there is a possibility of getting a glimpse of the first such device at the Mobile World Congress to be held at Barcelona in February, considering Google is also participating at the event.

We do hope to see Research in Motion's BlackBerry to come up in a completely touchscreen avatar in 2008.

Speaking as he does of “miracles," Mike Huckabee must understand that it would require one for him to win the 2008 nomination – he would have to secure 93% of the remaining delegates. So clearly, he's remaining in the race for another reason. By raising his delegate count above Mitt Romney's, second only to McCain's, Huckabee may well hope that he is establishing himself as the putative frontrunner the next time a Republican presidential field assembles.

Over the past couple of years, Nikon has been amping up the style of its Coolpix point-and-shoot cameras to compete with the likes of Canon and Sony for consumers who buy just as much for looks as for performance. The 5-ounce Nikon Coolpix S51c fits squarely in that category, with a sleek silver-and-chrome faceplate that immediately catches the eye. The front of this $280 camera is slightly thicker on the right side, where a built-in Wi-Fi radio is housed. The back is devoted almost entirely to the 3-inch, antireflective, liquid-crystal display screen, which makes quite a statement, though it might not be one many will like. Despite a relatively bright luminance, there's no painless way to quickly adjust the display in sun and other glaring light. Instead, you have to dig through a cumbersome menu on the screen, fighting the glare as you do.
